Services

Chiropractic

Chiropractors are primary health care providers who care for our patients with a variety of health issues focusing on the nervous, muscular and skeletal systems of the body.  Chiropractic care may include spinal and extremity adjusting, physiotherapies, nutrition, physical rehabilitation, therapeutic ultrasound and acupuncture. Diversified technique is the most commonly used adjustment technique by our Doctors of Chiropractic.  Diversified adjustments are characterized by a high velocity, low force adjustment to restore proper movement and alignment of involved spine and joint dysfunction. Activator technique is a chiropractic adjustment method in which a hand held device is used to manually manipulate the spine or joint involved. Other chiropractic techniques used in our office include segmental drop, flexion-distraction, and applied kinesiology.

Electric Muscle Stimulation

A therapeutic treatment to aid in the relief of pain and the promotion of soft tissue healing using tiny amounts of electrical impulses, a "pins and needles" sensation, introduced into the tissues in the vicinity of the injury. The waves intersect below the surface of the skin prompting the body to secrete endorphins and other natural painkillers to help relieve pain. Electric Muscle Stimulation can reduce painful symptoms, decrease local swelling, restore normal movements, decrease muscle spasm, promote muscle tone, release the body's natural pain killers and accelerate the healing process.

Ultrasound Therapy

Is a therapeutic treatment using high-frequency sound waves administered in the region of soft tissue injury. Sound vibrations, as fast as a million times per second, penetrate the tissues deep in the body, creating a heat response helping to break down and disperse unhealthy calcium and other hard tissue accumulations. A gel is used to conduct the sound waves and may feel cool to the skin when it is initially applied; most patients feel nothing, or a pleasant and relaxing sensation below the surface of the skin. Ultrasound treatment can usually be administered directly to the area of complaint, penetrating deep into the body.  The rise in temperature increases blood flow, relaxes muscle spasms, massages damaged tissue, and speeds the healing process. Ultrasound is highly effective in treating calcium deposition, stimulates healing without irritation, speeds metabolism, improves blood flow, reduces nerve root irritation and enhances the body's natural healing ability.

Acupuncture

Is an effective therapy using thin needles inserted at specific points on the body to stimulate your body to heal itself. These points are on channels, or meridians, that are linked to specific internal organs and organ systems. The needles are pre-sterilized, extremely thin and disposable. Acupuncture is used to treat a wide variety of health concerns including low energy, insomnia, back and neck pain, sciatica, headaches, jaw pain, nausea, vomiting, hypertension, allergies, sinus pain, plantar fasciitis, premenstrual tension, menopausal symptoms, anxiety and depression and many more.

Testimonials

Reviews By Our Satisfied Patients

  • "A year ago, before seeing Dr. Lori, I was unable to do any housework, yardwork, walking, as I love to - dancing, or even get out of bed, without terrible pain, constantly. This year, during the warm months, I painted rooms, planted flowers, cleaned and helped paint the garage, climbed up on the roof to trim trees, bagged 50 bags of leaves (so far), and did so with ease and a very happy heart. Dr. Lori not only listens to you, she hears you, then responds with intelligent judgement and excellen"
